Straw Blowing Background Technique

Monday evening was Technique class and what fun we had, mind you we did run out of breathe though, (no we didn't go for a run). this is such a fun Technique but it will leave you breathless and can get a little messy. You add a few drops of ink onto some Glossy card stock and then blow it around a piece of card using a straw while turning the card at the same time. I found this technique on France Martins blog which you can find lower down on her page here.

Close up of Sentiment label

I also did this technique on a scrap of Glossy card and punched it out using the Oval scallop punch.
My Upline Karen Rogers made this label on a swap card, I really liked it so  cased it for this card.

Stamp set; Forever Young, Petite Pairs
Ink: Certainly Celery, Black Staz On
Ink refills:  Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette
Other: BasicPearls, Scor Board,  Apothecary Accent Framelits,
Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Tissue or dry Baby wipe and a Straw

Lovely card. This technique creates a cool background - another technique to trial :)

I think this is one of the nicest cards I've seen online recently - I just love everything about it
