Side Spring Creative Elements

I suddenly realised I hadn't blogged this card, I have wanted to make a Side Spring Card for a while and finally found a tutorial, then it was just a matter of deciding which stamp set and colours to use. I finally decided to use the flower from Creative Elements then paired it up with Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla. The Flower has been stamped, cut out three times then layered up.

Blue Flowers in Faux Silk

Faux Silk Flowers is another Fabulous technique to try, I saw this card on Monica's passions, and just had to case it I changed the card up by using the Postage Stamp Punch and 1" Square punch for the sentiment, I also changed the bow by using some Pool Party Bakers twine to tie around the ribbon.
Field Flowers is a two step set, the Whisper White mat is stamped with the solid flowers in the Pool Party ink, rub glue all over the stamped Whisper White with an Anywhere Glue Stick,  add the crumpled up tissue paper but don't smooth out to much as this is what gives the Faux silk effect then stamp the outline flowers onto the tissue over the solid ones ( I slightly stamped the outline stamps off first before stamping onto the tissue paper) , then lastly stamp the stem.

Bordering on Romance & White Water Colouring

White Water colouring is such a fabulous Technique, I found a tutorial in a magazine by Ailsa Tilsner an Australian Demonstrator. I have cased 3 of the cards Ailsa made 2 are in Rose Red and 1 in Rich Razzleberry my ladies enjoyed making these cards in class on Wednesday Evening. Bordering on Romance or any flower stamp that can be coloured in would work fabulously with this technique. I have changed the cards slightly by using a different ribbon and used a pearl for the birds eye.
If you would like to attend a class to learn this technique email me here.

Vintage Covered Notebook

Wednesday nights class was a covered Notebook a smaller version cased  from the cover of the Seasonal Cataloque, we  used  3b1 Notebooks instead of a larger book changing it up slightly. I stamped the Crumb Cake cover with the flourish from Everything Eleanor in Sahara Sand, lightly misted it with water then scrunched it up a little let it dry, curled the top right corner, added white embossing, Early Espresso Bakers Twine,  adhered the cover to the note book using a glue stick, added some pieces of Designer paper, then my Vellum Stamped label which has a piece off Whisper White stamped in Lucky Limeade underneath, added some embellishments to finish it off.

Stamp set: Everything Eleanor, Oh Hello
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White. Vellum
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Sahara Sand,  Soft Suede, Versamark.
