Because I care

It has been an absolutely horrific week for everyone who lives in Christchurch since the Earthquake struck last Tuesday, can you remember what you were doing at that time I can, I was going about my usual routine for work, but for so many people who live in Christchurch it has changed their lives, I can only imagine how they must be feeling. I have Family and Friends who live there but thank goodness they are okay, but there are so many who have lost a loved one or their possession's or homes. My heart goes out to them. If you can please make a donation even a few dollars will make a difference.
I made this card it seems so appropriate for how I feel.

This is a swap I received at stamp camp from Moana Dawson, I love the vintage style of this card, Moana has used the set Aviary from the Summer mini catalogue and a Sale A Bration set called Bliss, the colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla & soft suede. Just perfect for Mothers day or any other occassion, Gorgeous card Moana thank you

All a Flutter

As I promised  here are a couple of the Birthday cards I received, the first one I received from my good friend and fellow Demonstrator Debbie. She has used the large swirl stamp from Barogue Motifs and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die, this is one of my favovourite dies, and don't you just love the Antique brad on the ribbon, thank you Debbie.

The second card was from another fellow Demonstrator Delys Cram. She has used my favourite Sale a Bration stamp set Bliss and my favourite new red Cherry Cobbler with Soft Suede.
Delys does the most awesome Scrapbook pages and was one of the Demonstrators to teach us a project at Stamp Camp

A little Bliss

A week ago I was lucky enough to spend my Birthday in Rotorua with 31 other Stampin' Up! demonstrators, we made 5 projects. Oh boy and what a fabulous weekend we had.
The ladies made my birthday very special by giving me a birthday cake with candles ( I didn't count them of course) mind you there wasn't one for each year lol, plus singing Happy Birthday.

I made 25 cards to swap, I will show you some of the swaps I received in return in my next few posts. I saw a card like this using Friends 24/7 and loved it so decided to try it with the SAB set Bliss (sorry I can't remember who it was but thank you for the inspiration

This car is on its way

I couldn't decide what Stamp set to use for a masculine card finally I decided on Sentimental Journey from the Summer Mini Catalogue, I was quite pleased how it turned out. I originally saw this card on Jessica Taylor's blog while surfing the net as we do, although I have changed the colours and added some dry embossing and distressed the edges of the Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp Set: Sentimental Journey, On Your Birthday
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, River Rock, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: LatticeTextured Impressions Folder, Stamp A Majig, Cutter kit, Glue Stick
