Retiring lists for the 2012 / 2013 Catalogue

Just a quick hello

I had a wonderful time at convention it was absolutely fabulous, there was so much inspiration, the giveaways were fabulous, next year Convention is in Melbourne hopefully I will be able to attend.

The retiring lists will be out on Friday May 31st so be sure to check them out In case there is something you would like, I will be putting an order in on Friday afternoon.

I am in Wentworth Falls up in the Blue Mountains, I arrived in Sydney on Sunday I hear Auckland has had shocking weather for the last few days, I hope you are all okay. It has been very cold here in Wentworth Falls. I went shopping at Penrith Mall yesterday and needless to say I will be bringing home an extra suitcase lol.

Need for Speed Team Swap

Need for Speed is the perfect stamp set for a masculine card, I made 22 of these for a team swap last month. I don't know about you but I always find masculine cards the hardest to make. I used the Honeycomb embossing folder as it can look like a tyre tread especially if you use the debossed side.
I used one of the stamps from Clockworks for the image in the top right corner and under the car.

Pink and Pear Poppies

I loved the Pleasant Poppies stamp set as soon as I saw it in the 2012 / 2013 catalogue and have had it for a while, I finally used it in class last week for this card, I am really sorry to see Certainly Celery has been discontinued  but love that Pear Pizzazz one of our old In Colours is returning on 1st July in the 2013 / 2014 catalogue yay. It is one of my favourite greens next to Certainly Celery.

Blooming in Plum

The flower from Blooming with Kindness is the perfect stamp to use with the emboss resist technique,
I saw a card like this on pinterest but have used one of my favourite colours Perfect Plum Ink, then added a punched sentiment.This is a simple but effective technique and makes a lovely card which can be used for any occasion. the coloured Bakers Twine just adds that little bit of extra.
