Christmas past 

I would like to wish everyone a Happy  and fabulous Christmas enjoy your day with your loved ones, I hope Santa is good to you all and leaves something special under the tree.

My Grand Daughter has been counting down the days and there is now only one day or one sleep to go, the excitement is building. I will stay up late tonight to do my Christmas Wrapping as I never put anything under the tree until the kids or in this case Grand Children are in Bed so that when they get up in the morning the floor is covered in presents. I can't wait for tomorrow morning there is nothing like seeing children's faces when they come down to the lounge on Christmas Morning.

Santa's on His Way

Santa's List is a fabulous stamp set I love the Santa image, this is the card we made in Class last week, I started by stamping Santa on Whisper White card stock in Black Staz On, then coloured him in using a Blush Blossom marker for his face, then I coloured his coat with a Real Red Marker then used a Two way glue pen on the fur trim off his Hat, Coat and Cuffs then sprinkled him with dazzling Diamonds, I left his gloves white. I mounted him on a piece of Crumb Cake then onto Cherry Cobbler card stock. Because he is stamped in Black Staz On then coloured with the Real Red marker his coat comes up quite a dark red which matches Cherry Cobbler. I also went around Santa with a blender pen and Crumb cake ink just to make him pop  out a little. This is another Wiper card click here & here to see the previous one's I have blogged.

Never Ending Afternoon Picnic

I have always loved Never Ending cards but haven't made one for ages, when my ladies saw my original one I made a few years ago they thought it was great, this is the one we made in class using Afternoon Picnic Designer Series Paper. I just love this Designer Paper especially paired with Wisteria Wonder card stock for the base  there's lots of cutting for this card but well worth it. I just love how this card turned out don't you.

A Blue Christmas

When I blogged my first Festive Flurry Card in a Box I promised to blog the one I had made in Island indigo and Silver using the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Paper, well here it is at last, I think I prefer these colours even though we don't have snow here in Auckland I still love making cards in winter colours.  I haven't added a bow to this card as I wanted the snowflakes to be the main feature. Stamp A Stack Special Season

I have been so busy over the last 2 weeks between our team Stamp A Stack on the 13th, classes during that week and then I worked 2 days at the Dunkleys Craft Show last Friday and Saturday. I suddenly realised I hadn't blogged the card I demonstrated at our Stamp A Stack. I used the stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Special Season, I love the Christmas tree in this set. Basic Rhinestones were used for some decorations on the tree but first I coloured them with a Sharpie marker which only takes a few seconds to dry, so if you want different coloured Rhinestones for your project you just colour them up, how easy is that.

Festive Flurry Card in a Box

I found this fabulous Card in a Box on Monica Gales blog and new I had to case it.
It folds flat for posting and of course you can make your own custom sized envelope with our new Envelope Punch Board which will be available this week, be sure to check back tomorrow to see what is happening with Stampin' Up this week. I made one of these cards and so far I have had 2 classes and have 1 more class booked for November 2nd. The sentiment  on the back is from More Merry Messages which is a stamp set included in the Autumn/Winter Carry over Pdf  which you can view here

Here Come The Balloons

As promised here is the second Wiper card, when I made the Flower Shop Wiper card which I posted here yesterday, I decided the second card had to be a fun card with something different popping up, the balloons in Sketched Birthday being the perfect set to use. (My inspiration for the colours came from a team swap card I received from Paula Reid.)

 

So out came a piece of Window Sheet, I stamped the balloon strings onto this and then cut them out, next I stamped the balloons themselves onto Whisper White card stock, coloured them using a blender pen and Stampin' Up!  ink pads, the balloons were then cut out and adhered to the Window Sheet Strings with glue dots. theses were then added to the piece of card stock used for the wiper (which I cut smaller) and adhered to the inside of the card.

Flower Shop Wiper Card

I loved making this card, I found the tutorial for this on Dawn Griffiths blog ( a favourite of mine) she has such a lot of video tutorials to watch. The second card I made in this style was even more fun for a child or even the adult who is a big kid at heart, but you will have to come back tomorrow to see the second card we made Once you get the wiper part of the card sorted it is a fairly easy card to make. To make the wiper pop up all you do is pull on both sides of the card. Such fun.
